Abstract :
In this paper we show that the class of polynomially parameter-dependent quadratic (PPDQ) Lyapunov functions of specified degree characterizes the stability of single-parameter dependent linear, time-invariant, (s-PDLTI) systems. Using PPDQ Lyapunov functions we provide necessary and sufficient conditions for the stability of s-PDLTI systems. Checking the feasibility of these conditions can be cast as a convex, finite-dimensional programming problem. Finally, we extend this analysis result to state-feedback parameter-dependent controller synthesis for s-PDLTI systems.
