Abstract :
A rigorous numerical analysis of an axisymmetric TM/sub 0.1. delta / dielectric resonator mode filter is presented. The two-dimensional and three-dimensional finite element methods are applied to compute the exact scattering matrix parameters of this device. A sensitivity analysis, which permits easier filter tuning, is also performed. Experimental results are given and are in good agreement with theoretical ones.<>
