            Abstract : 
A novel 11-GHz monolithic low-distortion variable gain amplifier is proposed. The amplifier maintains high linearity up to the high input power level using variable negative feedback. The third-order intermodulation distortion ratio of this amplifier is improved by more than 40 dB compared with conventional variable-gain amplifiers under compressed gain conditions.<>
