Abstract :
A statistical orthogonal array experiment for designing high-yield matching networks and select high-yield topologies of matching networks for load impedances located at different regions on the Smith chart is introduced. A circuit designed by this approach always has a high yield. The approach was used to design an FET amplifier whose performance is similar to that of the amplifier described by B.S. Tarman and H.J. Carlin (1982). However, its yield is much higher than that of the latter.<>
