Abstract :
Summary form only given. In conclusion, we demonstrated an efficient coherent THz-wave generation utilizing a grating coupler on LiNbO/sub 3/ optical parametric oscillator and difference frequency mixing. Tunable nanosecond THz-wave generation with both good temporal and spatial coherence was achieved. The tunability, directivity, and efficiency were proved to be good enough for applications such as spectroscopy, THz imaging, and so forth.
