Abstract :
Summary form only given. Theoretical and experimental results on the generation of coherent XUV radiation by high-order frequency mixing and direct lasing in the XUV with a short-pulse Ti:sapphire laser are presented. It is expected that in the near future practical sources of coherent XUV radiation will be available.
