The author describes an intensive three-week workshop, funded by the National Science Foundation and conducted at the University of Louisville in the summer of 1990, in which high school science teachers were introduced to the fundamentals of digital logic and computer hardware. The format included both formal lectures by University faculty and hands-on experience in the laboratory
