Abstract :
The authors describe the particular development of a low-power (5 watts at ~36 GHz) helix travelling-wave tube (TWT) for satellite use. In this respect, the TWT design was configured for typical space communication specifications such as low distortion characteristics, maximum efficiency, and high reliability.
