The author presents the design methodology behind a productive engineering computer-based-training (CBT) system from the hardware and software aspects. Moreover, a case study of the CAI (computer-aided-instruction) system developed for the College of Engineering at Southern University is presented to facilitate the impact of CAI training facilities on engineering students and the engineering curriculum
