Abstract
Summary form only given. Resonance Raman spectroscopy has been employed to examine the substitution effects on the allyl radical. The 2-chloroallyl radical (CH/sub 2/CClCH/sub 2/) is detected with excitation from 220 nm to 245 nm. The Raman spectra can be analyzed to obtain information regarding both the ground state vibrational structure and the excited slate dynamics of the radical.
