Abstract
The versatility of airborne ECM systems is limited by prime power availability aboard an aircraft. The objectives in the development of a new system, therefore, are to minimize the number of tubes necessary to cover the desired band of frequencies and to maximize the overall efficiency of the devices. The former is accomplished in part through the incorporation of dispersion control to increase bandwidth. The latter is achieved primarily by collection of the beam in a multistage depressed collector.
