Abstract :
The theoretical and experimental analysis of a device for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) measurements is detailed. The structure is similar to a transverse electromagnetic (TEM) cell, with an inner wire array rather than a metallic septum. The device is referred to as a WireTEM (WTEM) cell. Its performance as a standard electromagnetic (EM) fields generator has been estimated by a theoretical quasi-static analysis, together with experimental results over a wide frequency band.<>
