Abstract :
High-sensitive optical detectors have been fabricated by superconducting BaPb0.7Bi0.3O3(BPB) thin films Optical signals´are detected by Josephson junctions along the grain boundaries in the films. The sensitivity is one order of magnitude higher than that of conventional APDs in the present experimental wavelength range, 1.0 ∼ 2.6 µm. Therefore, this device is promising in expanding the transmission length in repeaterless submarine optical communication systems.
