Editor´s Note: Donald E. Rosenheim, now director of the IBM San Jose Research Laboratory, was an instructor of the first 701 Customer Engineering Class. In his paper he refers to cathode-ray-tube memory, and the accompanying picture shows him with F. C. Williams and others.
