Abstract
The paper presents an idea of information system for demand side management (DSM). The problem of monitoring and load control is also discussed. The paper presents the solution of information and technical problem of energy demand. An OPC interface standard is used, based upon the functional requirements of OLE/COM and DCOM technology, that fosters greater interoperability between automation control applications, field systems-devices, and business-office applications
