Abstract :
Applications in telecommunications or multimedia require a new generation of fast and flexible microprocessors. We present a 32-bit RISC microprocessor with extended functionality for digital signal processing that reduces overall system cost. Due to its optimized design with just 210,000 transistors, this low-cost, medium- to high-performance microprocessor is well suited for a wide range of embedded system applications
