Abstract :
Energy conversion from two pump waves into a middle frequency weak signal wave due to four-wave mixing in low dispersion fibers is analyzed. Energy conversion of 20% is possible under realistic conditions, limited by fiber attenuation, high order dispersion, and pump depletion
