Abstract :
First, a mixed-signal simulation approach is proposed for uncompromising performance in continuous-time sigma-delta modulator simulation. Compared to previous methods, it provides all of the necessary design information 40× faster and with exacting accuracy. Second, a sinusoidal signal analysis technique is proposed for SNR computation. Compared to the standard power spectrum estimation method, it requires 16× fewer data points and enables transistor-level simulations for SNR to become far more practical
