Abstract :
Traditionally, motion estimators perform matching between every pixel pair and sum the error to determine the cost of that matching block. The proposed method takes advantage of redundancy in the matching calculations and the fact that |A+B|⩽|A|+|B| to reduce the number of operations by using a hierarchical matching criteria
