Abstract :
This paper presents a new power transformer topology to feed nonlinear loads under unbalanced voltage supply conditions. This new topology is based upon a special transformer called ADZ and allows mitigation of the voltage imbalance in the electric system. As a result, this novel transformer topology is able to reduce noncharacteristic harmonics in power converters. EMTP simulation and experimental results from a laboratory prototype illustrate improved performance and show close agreement with theoretical modeling
