Abstract :
The paper proposes an effective non-destructive inspection using an electromagnetic wave (radar) which detects the defects such as cracks or cavities in concrete structures and measures their accurate positions, and also thicknesses for cavities. This is achieved by a pattern matching between the actual reflected wave signal and the predicted one composed based on a signal propagation model.
