Abstract :
In satellite network the nodes are far from the terrestrial station, so the transmission delay between the satellite and the terrestrial station is long, furthermore the nodes mobility is intensive. Based on those characteristics an new network management architecture was build for the satellites network. The method that disposing a local policy decision point (LPDP) between the traditional policy decision point (PDP) and policy enforcement point (PEP) is proposed, the LPDP can exchange the policy information with the PEP by disposing the LPDP on the satellite agent which has the management function. The simulation results show that this new architecture can reduce the response delay of the policy-based satellite network management.
