Abstract :
This paper analyzes the performance of a smart antenna system operating in a cdma2000 signal environment through a BFM (beam forming module) implemented on a DSP (TMS320C6701) board. The BFM is a stand-alone PCB for weight updating which is used to simulate the performance of this system as part of a test-bed. For real-time computation of the weight vector, the Lagrange algorithm, which has a low computing load and qualified beam-forming performance, is used. Especially, a noble beam- forming structure is adapted for obtaining superior performance for the cdma2000 signal environment
