Abstract
An active resistor with linearity across a large-signal range, a historically elusive circuit to achieve, would be a very useful analog building block. Such a circuit, a large-signal active resistor, can easily be constructed, providing a good approximation to linear behavior over a large range of voltages. An output driver is one instance of a circuit benefiting from a large-signal active resistor
