Abstract :
Due to the diversification in application and very challenging characteristics the Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) considered to be an important and fast growing technology in the field and hence it gains attention from the researchers. While focusing on the advancement in the development of technology, the energy efficiency and effective computation methods plays a crucial role in determining the performance of WSN. Though much focus is given to the effective design of WSN, the characteristics of it to suit to the security concerns are found to be very important in constrained situations. This paper attempts to have an effective and efficient WSN system equipped with the security aspects as derived from the ancient Indian Vedic mathematics. The cross multiplication behavior of the Vedic mathematics when applied to the places where point multiplications are available, a cost effective and improved information security is obtained. Also, this work records the performance comparison between Vadic Mathematics enabled Information Security (VMIS) in WSN with that of conventional information security in WSN and proved that the VMIS performs better than the conventional method.
