Abstract :
Since 4G mobile systems are being released in the real world, R&D trend proceeds to 5G systems. This study focuses on the utilization of microwave frequency above 6 GHz for mobile access. The propagation channel at this frequency range behaves very differently from the conventional UHF channel. The talk covers the background, the development of equipments so called channel sounder, and some experimental results of urban and indoor environments.
