Abstract :
A new variable-spectrum-equalizer (VSEQ) which combines the polarization dependence of dielectric film with magneto-optics is proposed and demonstrated. The VSEQ features flexible equalization capability with a simple drive-circuit maintaining wide dynamic-range (7 dB) and wide bandwidth (35 nm).
