Abstract :
We successfully developed a low-loss and flat pass-band 1/spl times/8 arrayed-waveguide grating (AWG) multi/demultiplexer module with an athermal spectrum. The insertion loss was only 3.8 dB which is 40% lower than that of previous AWGs.
