Abstract :
With the advent of ´Internet of Things´, which is a network of interconnected objects like wireless sensor networks, makes the secure data stored in sensors of WSN can be accessible to illegitimate entities through an insecure channel called Internet. To become an inherent part of IoT, WSN needs the authentication and key agreement protocols which are highly secure, light weight and energy efficient. In this context, we propose a secure mutual authentication scheme, which establishes a symmetric secret session key between the user, GWN and a sensor node. The proposed scheme is resilient against all major cryptographic attacks and requires less computation, communication costs and energy efficient for resource constrained sensors, compared to other relevant authentication schemes.
