Abstract :
Performance Measurement of the Radars “In Situ” is becoming more important and indeed more complex in terms of tracking civilian and military radars in the fields of aviation safety and the accomplishment of air sovereignty tasks. Difficulties in the “in situ” radar measurements are concentrated around data collection within a non friendly microwave environment and in keeping the test result evaluation inside the scientifically accepted specifications. These activities are used to improve radar support using scientifically proven criteria and these new results could be applied to the radars which are currently under development or upgraded. It is the intention of this paper to add continued momentum to show the complexity of the practical realization of the System Performance Check applied to Ground Based Radars. As this series of articles is highlighting different test results collected from the radar “in situ”, the focus on this occasion is related to the radar receiver.
