Abstract :
A product design method based on modularization is proposed during the course of mass customization, and a series of factors, which affect the interactive relationship of components as well as the generation of product in life cycle, are discussed. Moreover, by using fuzzy clustering algorithm the generated process of sequential clustering is also analyzed. A typical example is presented showing such method to be applicable and effective for product modularization. This approach offers another way of numerical analysis and evaluation for modular agile manufacturing pattern for mass customization. In addition, cooperative design area concerned with individual product is accordingly enlarged.
