Abstract :
High data rate radio transmission is demanded for future battlefield communications including voice, data as well as still video and real-time moving video. A new type of a bi-conical antenna with multibeam and direction variability features is presented. This antenna is well suited for mobile communication applications under the requirement of adaptive space-selective radiation. A beamwidth of about 80° and a front/back ratio of about 30 dB has been measured at 10.25 GHz; further results are presented
