  • Abstract
We are living in the era of automation. Recently, field of automation in homes is flourishing which has made our life more convenient. Fully automated rooms, where controlling of home appliances like light, curtains, TV, fan and AC through a single device is possible, are mainly available in luxurious hotels. We have designed a system that can be an additional amenity in luxurious hotels. Task of this system is to deliver food in particular hotel room. System contains Mobile Unit, Wireless Modules and GUI based on LabVIEW2010. Mobile Unit, which is equipped with two high torque DC motors, motor driver circuitry, Arduino controller board, wireless module and two batteries, can be sent to any room by pressing respected room number button on GUI to serve food. Wireless Modules will aid in propagation of signal from GUI to Mobile Unit and vice versa. Here, waiter´s job is to monitor entire process sitting near GUI like control room in modern industries. In this paper, all the aspects regarding this system are explicitly explained.
