Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel design of hexagonal split ring resonators (SRR) coupled UWB vivalidi antenna for frequency notched applications. The notch frequencies are controlled by the SRRs resonances which are determined by the SRRs physical dimensions. The Vivaldi antenna is excited using a microstrip feed and the SRRs are coupled to the feeding area such that the antenna parameters are not perturbed.
