Abstract :
Low error rates were obtained from the transmission of twenty 10 Gb/s channels with 100 GHz spacing over four 80 km (25 dB) spans of dispersion shifted fibre (DSF) in the lower wavelength region of the L-band where the effects are largest due to lower dispersion.
