Abstract :
Metal oxide surge arrester (MOA) is very important in our power system. Therefore, on-line monitoring of MOA becomes necessary. In this paper, we introduce the method of signal collection based on the voltage of discharge counter, and we advance the principle of synchronous sampling on multi-lower computer system. Based on these methods, this paper introduces a synchronous sampling unit that can be used in on-line resistive leakage current monitoring system of MOA. Finally, the methods and the design prove to be efficient through the test of practical project.
