  • Abstract
    This paper presents a study on the technique of estimating mobile speed in the TDMA-based GSM network. Two algorithms are proposed. They estimate the mobile speed based on the variation of the received signal envelope cross each burst due to fast fading. Hence they are suitable for both FH (frequency hopping) and non-FH cases. Computer simulations have been done to evaluate the performance by using these two algorithms
