Abstract :
In this paper, a novel compact dual-band coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed antenna with a microstrip stub is presented. The proposed dual-band antenna works at the bands of 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz simultaneously, while the electrical length is 0.308 wavelengths at the center frequency of the lower band. The lower band of the antenna ranges from 2.15 GHz to 2.50 GHz, and the upper band covers all frequency bands from 4.6 GHz to 7.0 GHz. The simulated return loss and radiation patterns indicate that the compact antenna is very useful for short-rang wireless communication.
