Abstract :
Describes a new boundary extraction algorithm, based on the integration of fuzzy rule-base region growing and fuzzy rule-base edge detection. This new approach is applied on the colonoscopic images for the identification of closed-boundary of intestinal lumen, to facilitate diagnosis of colon abnormalities
