Title :
Precision lead tungstate crystal calorimeter for CMS at LHC
Author_Institution :
California Inst. of Technol., Pasadena, CA, USA
Abstract :
A precision lead tungstate crystal calorimeter is being constructed by the CMS collaboration as a powerful tool to probe electro-weak symmetry breaking and new physics in the LHC era. The status of calorimeter construction is reported. The crucial issue of maintaining crystal calorimetry precision in the expected radiation environment is elaborated.
