Abstract :
The Selective Harmonic Elimination (SHE) modulation scheme is a very useful method to eliminate some lower harmonics of the output signals in a NPC converter, but as it is an offline method its implementation in a system sometimes is very hard to do. Instead of use the SHE modulation, in this paper it is proposed an approximation of the SHE scheme to a carrier based modulation that is an easier method to implement in a power system.
