  • Abstract
Following worldwide recession, the automotive industry is likely to see sustained growth from 1993 onwards, as recovery continues. Historical connector concerns are considered, and ways of overcoming the most abundant faults are outlined. Emerging and predicted technologies within the automotive connector industry are discussed. The aim is to analyse new techniques rather than developments of the traditional connector technologies, in particular with regard to environmental protection and connector application. The future of the automotive connector industry is predicted in terms of market forces and product trends.<>
