  • Abstract
In this paper, properties of rotation and translation of spherical modes are used to study mutual coupling between two open-ended radiating structures which can exhibit complex geometries. The isolated antennas are previously characterized by means of the SFELP methodology. The method is validated with measurements for two coupled apertures, and applied to cavity-backed microstrip antennas.
