Abstract :
The performance evaluation of integrated dispatch and interconnect traffic schemes is important in land mobile trunking systems. We present a unified approach to analyze a variety of schemes for integrating dispatch and interconnect traffic. Dispatch traffic is queued, and interconnect calls are blocked, when no channels are available. Performance trade-offs between dispatch and interconnect traffic are displayed. The blocking probability for interconnect calls, and the mean waiting time for dispatch calls are the parameters used as the grade of service measures
