Abstract :
This paper presents an active transmitting patch antenna working in the 1600 MHz-2350 MHz band. An equivalent gain of 9-10 dB has been measured compared to a passive radiator. The proposed active antenna has been designed from a stacked patch antenna (in the band 1700-2250 MHz) fed directly through the output probe of a resistive equalised broadband amplifier.
