Abstract :
This paper considers the application of trellis coding techniques to direct-sequence CDMA communication over frequency-selective fading mobile radio channels. In the proposed scheme a set of M-biorthogonal sequences are assigned to each user and a trellis code is constructed over the set of possible signature sequences. The effect of adaptive coherent RAKE receiver structure is studied, as is the effect of different fading profiles assuming an ideal average power control
