Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a new technique for the design of linear phase 2-D ellipse-shaped FIR filter subject to frequency mask constraints, which can handle filters of sufficiently large sizes for practical applications. The designed 2-D filters admit a fast digital implementation. Filter´s specifications are expressed as semi-definite constraints using the notion of 2-D trigonometric curves. Moreover, we exploited convex duality to derive equivalent semi-definite programme formulation of reduced constraints. The designed example shows the viability of proposed method.
