Abstract :
In GSM digital mobile communications networks, co-channel interference (CCI) is the limiting factor for system capacity. In the downlink of the system, single antenna interference cancellation (SAIC) techniques should be used, because only one receive antenna is available at the mobile terminal. In this paper, we introduce a SAIC CCI canceling method by treating the real and imaginary parts of the received signal as independent diversity branches. The simulation results are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of our algorithm.
