Abstract :
Evoked myoelectric signals (M-waves) undergo progressive scaling and change of shape during sustained electrically elicited contractions. Such changes can be described using the first four central moments of the power spectrum of the M-wave. An algorithm is presented that estimates the spectral moments without computing the Fourier transform, using a weighted sum of the first few samples of the autocorrelation function
