Title :
Specific LEO mission simulation with multi-cell batteries
Author_Institution :

Abstract :
Life testing for several 8-cell nickel hydrogen battery packs (100 ampere-hours) is ongoing at Eagle-Picher Technologies, LLC. Testing began on the first unit in September of 1996. Multiple units are being evaluated using specialized test equipment. Two of the units are closely simulating actual mission regimes, and the data is being used directly in simulations for end use predictions. Other packs have been used for specific V/T characterization. Discussion includes a description of the product, an overview of the test history, and the most current results
